The licence tier (Free · Professional · AI) and the number of devices are billed separately. Running more machines is never, on its own, a reason to move up an edition.

Single-user editions today, organisation editions on the roadmap

Three single-user editions are available now — Free, Professional and AI — for standalone environments. Team, which adds central management and access control, is not released yet. Large-scale deployments are handled separately through Enterprise enquiries.

30-day AI trial and a Free edition with no time limit

On first install, one device gets every feature of the top AI edition free for 30 days, personal-data detection and masking included. When the trial ends the licence moves automatically to the Free edition, which has no time limit.

What is different about a perpetual licence

This is the price you see when you choose Perpetual above. You pay once, keep using it, and nothing renews.

What the card's "per month over 3 years" means

It is a conversion for comparison. It does not mean you may use it for only 3 years — a perpetual licence has no time limit. Since the monthly and yearly cards are written as "per month", the perpetual price is divided over 3 years (36 months) so you can weigh it on the same scale.

Why that particular year: compared with yearly billing, perpetual becomes cheaper from around year 2.0. We took the first full year past that crossing point. The longer you use it, the lower the monthly figure goes.

What happens after you buy

The internet is needed once, for the first activation; after that it runs offline indefinitely. Twelve months of updates come with it, and the version you run keeps working after that period.

That said, a next major version, or new AI features, may be a paid upgrade. Security patches and fixes for serious defects continue regardless.

We do not charge for finding your own documents by the text that was read. What is paid for is the automation — pulling out fields like supplier, amount and date, searching by them and naming files with them. When a trial ends, the documents you built up stay findable.

Devices are chosen separately from the edition

We used to sell the same features as two editions that differed only in device count. That meant someone working alone on a desktop and a laptop had to buy the "office" edition. Now editions differ only by feature, and you choose the device count above.

The more devices, the lower the price each — 3–4 devices 10% · 5–9 devices 25% · 10 devices 30%. For more than 10 devices we will guide you separately.

Using it on several machines

Single-user editions do not sync machines with each other

The licence lets you activate as many devices as you bought. On the single-user editions (Free, Professional and AI) the document index and form data stay local to each machine and are not synced between them. Central management and sharing across an organisation are planned for the Team edition.

After you buy

A perpetual licence runs indefinitely with no network connection after a single activation. There are two ways to activate; in both, the token is signed by our server and the app only verifies the signature.
1. Online — connect the app to your account and the machine is registered and issued a token automatically.
2. Air-gapped — enter the machine identifier shown in the app into activating a machine with no internet in your account, then register the issued token in the app. The machine being activated never needs an internet connection.
A failure of the licence server does not affect machines that are already activated — how licensing works.
