Open-source notice
RichBinder is distributed together with open-source software. Each component is governed by its own licence, and the rights that licence grants you take precedence over the RichBinder terms of service.
These rights take precedence over the terms of service
Below is what is actually contained in the version currently distributed (1.0.22). When the version changes, this list changes with it.
Office preview engine — LibreOffice
- LibreOffice 26.2.5.2
- Mozilla Public License 2.0 (includes components under other licences)
- Purpose
- Converts Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents to PDF to build previews
- Not modified
- We ship The Document Foundation build exactly as it is
- A separate program
- Not linked with RichBinder; it runs as a separate process
- Build identifier
cd7284b4cbbfeb507e630c1aac019f4157393acb
The full licence texts are in the installation folder at engine/office/license.txt · engine/office/LICENSE.html · engine/office/NOTICE, exactly as The Document Foundation distributes them.
Where to get the LibreOffice source
This is the source of the same version that we ship. It can be downloaded from either of the two places below.
- libreoffice-26.2.5.2.tar.xz (The Document Foundation distribution path)
- Permanent archive — 26.2.5.2 source

If you have trouble downloading from the addresses above, let us know through the contact below. We will send you the same source as the version we distributed.
Hangul document support — H2Orestart · Temurin JRE
- H2Orestart 0.7.13
- GNU GPL v3 or later — but it differs from file to file (see ★ below)
- Eclipse Temurin JRE 21.0.12+8
- GNU GPL v2 with Classpath Exception
- Purpose
- Converts Hangul (.hwp / .hwpx) documents to PDF for viewing. The Java runtime is shipped with it because the extension requires it
- Not modified
- We ship them exactly as received
- Separate programs
- An extension that runs inside LibreOffice; it is not linked with our code
★ H2Orestart cannot be described in a single line. Most of the code in the extension is GPL v3 or later, but the registration code that comes from the LibreOffice SDK, RegistrationHandler, is LGPL 2.1. We provide both full texts — GPL v3 · LGPL 2.1. They are also shipped in the installation as licenses/GPL-3.0.txt · licenses/LGPL-2.1.txt.
The full licence text and the copyright notices of the Temurin JRE are included in the distribution itself — in the installed Hangul component they are jre/NOTICE and jre/legal/<module>/LICENSE · ASSEMBLY_EXCEPTION. We do not touch the material Eclipse Adoptium put there.
Where to get the source for the Hangul components
This is the source that corresponds exactly to what we distributed. Once a version has been distributed, we do not delete its source.
