The AI runs on your own PC
RichBinder's AI is local only. Documents, scanned images, recognised text and extracted fields are never sent to a server — meaning is understood on your own PC. It works on networks with no internet access at all.

What the AI does
- Search by meaning — finds documents that are close in meaning, not only exact words.
- Similar and duplicate documents — groups documents that resemble each other.Planned — not available yet
- Classification candidates — suggests which type an unclassified document is closest to.Planned — not available yet
- Automatic type discovery — clusters documents of the same layout, overlays them and treats "same position, different value" as a field. It proposes a type name, fields, filing location and filename template.

A type the AI finds is created only when you approve it. Before approval you always see a preview: "creating this type will move 428 documents, here is where".

Does the AI send documents to the cloud?
No. A cloud AI tier was rejected in design. Documents, scans, recognised text and extracted fields never leave your PC.
Does the AI work without internet?
Yes. Real inference was verified on a machine with no internet connection. Only licence activation and update checks need a connection.
Which AI model is used?
multilingual-e5-small-ko-v2, quantised to INT8 (112.6MB, Apache-2.0). It ships with the app.
Do I need a GPU?
No. It runs on the CPU. Windows 10 1809 or later, 64-bit, with at least 8 GB of memory is enough; 16 GB is recommended.
Will the AI move my documents on its own?
No. The AI proposes; you decide. A preview shows how many documents move and where before anything is created.
Is personal-data detection also AI?
Personal-data detection is rule based — it matches formats and checksums such as resident registration or card numbers. In the product it is included in the AI edition.
